Love getting exercise outside, helping others and connecting with people with similar interests? Us too! Join us to walk or run, volunteer for a community group and enjoy fun social activities.
We know you have questions…
Are you a running club?
No! But you can run if you’d like. Many of our events combine exercise like running or walking with volunteering and social activities. How you exercise and how much is completely up to you, and you’ll find similar people no matter what. Research shows that doing these together is magic, it’s more fun, rewarding and healthy than doing them separately. Give it a try!
But if I walk and someone else runs, how do we finish together?
Our exercise is intentionally designed to welcome all speeds and activity levels. We exercise for an amount of time, like 45 minutes, on short loops. Go as far as you want, as fast as you want. Want to walk a mile? Go for it! Want to blaze 6 miles? Good for you!
What if I don’t want to do the exercise?
We think it adds a lot to the experience but we’re not your mom, we won’t tell you to exercise or eat your broccoli. Do what works best for you! You’re welcome to join us for the volunteering only.
What if I don’t want to walk 45 minutes?
Do whatever you’d like! Feel free to take breaks, stop early or come for just the volunteering. If you’re happy with your exercise, then we’re happy!
Do all your events have exercise?
Many of our events include a walk/run and volunteering, but not all. Some are a physically rigorous volunteer event only. We encourage you to walk, run or bike to those events but that is not part of the event.
What’s the community service like?
We work with a variety of service organizations, such as parks, food providers and charities to provide new and different volunteer opportunities. Activities are usually under 2 hours, and designed to be impactful in our community. And yes, you can do them sweaty!
What does an event look like?
We start with music, a short warmup and maybe even a little dance party for anyone with the moves! Then for select events have a 45 minute walk or run period, then transition to a service event of up to 2 hours, and finish with games, snacks and drinks and social time. Throughout, we hope you’ll connect with others and talk to new people!
Sounds fun, how much does it cost?
Zero, zip, zilch, nada! If you’re joining us, you’re taking care of yourself and the community, that’s priceless!
